Las principales actividades docentes dirigidas a estudiantes de grado se llevan a cabo en el marco de la carrera de Doctor en Medicina, de la Facultad de Medicina. En este contexto se participa en el dictado docente de cursos curriculares del primer trienio de la carrera y se ofrecen cursos optativos para estudiantes m\u00e1s avanzados. A nivel de posgrado se dictan cursos dirigidos a estudiantes de diversos programas de posgrado nacionales ( Biotecnolog\u00eda, Pro in bio entre ellos destacamos Aplicaciones de PCR en tiempo real a la investigaci\u00f3n, Escuela Regional de Microbiolog\u00eda, Introducci\u00f3n a la L\u00edneas de Comandos, Toxicolog\u00eda de Animales Ponzo\u00f1osos Adem\u00e1s, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la C\u00e1tedra de Dermatolog\u00eda, se dicta el curso Modulaci\u00f3n del Sistema Inmune en Dermatolog\u00eda dirigido a m\u00e9dicos realizando su especializaci\u00f3n en naturales.<br \/>Desarrollo y optimizaci\u00f3n de nuevas vacunas veterinarias y m\u00e9todos de control.<br \/>Laboratorio de Biolog\u00eda Computacional Gen\u00f3mica comparativa y funcional de pat\u00f3genos.<br \/>Epidemiolog\u00eda molecular y patog\u00e9nesis de Salmonella ent\u00e9rica.<\/p><p>A lo largo de las \u00faltimas dos d\u00e9cadas el Departamento ha establecido convenios y acuerdos de colaboraci\u00f3n con la industria biotecnol\u00f3gica tanto nacional como internacional, en particular en el \u00e1rea de desarrollo de nuevas vacunas e inmunoterapias Igualmente ha participado en de numerosos proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9micos en el \u00e1rea espec\u00edfica En el marco de la pandemia, el Departamento volc\u00f3 buena parte de sus recursos humanos a aportar en distintas tareas Por un lado, colabor\u00f3 en el diagn\u00f3stico molecular de Sars Cov 2 aportando horas docentes y equipamientos propios para el diagn\u00f3stico por PCR en acuerdo con el laboratorio de An\u00e1lisis Cl\u00ednicos del Hospital Universitario, y por otro docentes de nuestro Depto colaboraron en el desarrollo del test serol\u00f3gico para la detecci\u00f3n de anticuerpos espec\u00edficos contra el virus del Sars Cov 2 Igualmente participamos como investigadores responsables o colaboradores en varios proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n aprobados con fondos
