The global distribution of the toxic cyanobacterium cause negative ecological and health impacts. In that sense, the aim of my work is elucidate the biological and ecological role of toxins production in cyanobacterias.
Based on an evolutionary, genomics, metagenomics and transcriptomics aporach, we evaluate the possible mechanisms involved in toxin production by a cyanobacteria of the genus Raphidiopsis (ex Cylindrospemopsis). Furthermore, we aslo inlcude the study of the bacterial microbiome associated with cyanobacteria,since it has recently been propoused that it would be necessary in the biology of cyanobacteria
